About the Role
We are looking for an HR professional to join us in a 12-month temporary position, playing a key role in delivering and strengthening our HR function in the UK. In this role, you will work on enhancing our policies, processes, system support, and practices while supporting the evolving needs of the business.
This is a broad and varied generalist role that combines hands-on operational HR with opportunities to drive development-focused initiatives. You will contribute to enhancing HR frameworks across areas such as employee engagement, development, organisational culture, and recruitment—while ensuring a strong and reliable HR foundation.
You will collaborate closely with the global People & Culture team, based at our head office in Norway. This position is based in Congleton, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide HR support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding
Review, develop, and implement HR policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with UK best practice
Ensure compliance with UK employment law and keep HR policies and practices up to date with legislative changes
Support and optimize HR systems and effective utilisation
Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, structures, and ways of working
Contribute to employee engagement initiatives
Support development initiatives and frameworks
Partner with stakeholders to strengthen organisational culture and values
Key personal characteristics:
Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Work experience requirements:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a broad, generalist HR role
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Proven experience across multiple HR disciplines
Experience with HR systems and process improvement
Education requirements:
Master/ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
