About the Role
As Quality Manager, you will ensure Cambi’s HESQ (Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality) management system is effectively aligned with the company’s mission and strategic objectives, fostering regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement globally. Further, the role requires you to establish clear structures, routines, and policies, while facilitating the transfer of knowledge on quality tools and methodologies across the organization, support teams in successfully adopting and integrating enhanced practices. As the main contractor on our projects, the company holds overall responsibility for ensuring all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at the construction sites. This position reports to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Cambi’s ISO certification for the integrated HESQ (Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality) management system, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
- Responsible for mapping risks and opportunities, championing a structured system for follow-up and continuous improvement.
- Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence by applying Lean principles and supporting structured improvement initiatives across teams.
- Manage the internal audit program, including the planning, execution, and documentation of internal audits across the organization.
- Promote awareness and understanding of the Cambi way of working by ensuring employees have access to, and are familiar with, the procedures governing the HESQ management system.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, company guidelines, and all relevant legal requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance to staff and management on HESQ initiatives and related technical subjects, while supporting and executing initiatives if required.
- Deliver training to staff as necessary to support compliance with relevant procedures and to build competence across HESQ areas.
We are looking for
- An effective communicator, both written and verbal. Fluent in both English and Norwegian.
- A collaborative team player, and proactive with the ability to lead and influence.
- A customer-focused mindset, acting as an advocate for customer and stakeholder interests.
- A skilled trainer and coach with a focus on knowledge sharing.
- Adaptable and quick to learn new standards or regulatory requirements.
Requirements
• Degree in engineering or scientific discipline.
• Proven experience leading the quality function in an ISO 9001-certified organization, preferably within an international, project-based manufacturing environment.
• Experience in developing and implementing integrated management systems (Quality, Environment, Health & Safety) is an advantage.
• Proficient in eQMS platforms, Power BI.
• Hands-on EHS expertise, with the ability to develop procedures and standards in line with legal requirements (in collaboration with site and commissioning teams).
• Chartered Quality Professional status preferred.
