Junior Site Engineer – Lviv, Ukraine
Are you an early-career engineer eager to contribute to sustainable projects?
Cambi is now hiring a Junior Site Engineer, based in Lviv, to support our on-site project execution in Ukraine and potentially abroad. You will work closely with a senior foreign engineer and be part of our mission to advance the circular economy by turning organic waste into valuable resources.
As a Junior Site Engineer, your key tasks will include:
- Assisting the Senior Site Engineer with day-to-day site operations
- Supervising mechanical and electrical installations
- Supervising commissioning of equipment and plant start up
- Ensuring safety procedures are followed on-site
- Preparing and organizing installation tools, materials, and logistics
- Supporting documentation and reporting of site activities
- Communicating with local suppliers and contractors
- Translating technical discussions and documents when needed
This is a hands-on, learning-intensive role—ideal for an ambitious junior engineer. It is a project-based position that lasts approximately 1.5 years, with potential for international opportunities based on performance.
We are looking for someone with:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, environmental, or process engineering (work experience may compensate for lack of educational requirements)
- Good understanding of plant operations or mechanical and electrical installation—experience in industries like brewing, food, or utilities where steam is used is a plus
- Fluency in Ukrainian and English (oral and written)
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Readiness to travel occasionally and spend time at project sites

About Cambi
Cambi is a Norwegian technology company specializing in advanced sewage sludge treatment solutions. Established in 1989, it has become the leading global provider of thermal hydrolysis process (THP) systems, technology that breaks down sludge to improve digestion, enabling biogas extraction and destroying harmful microorganisms.
THP offers utilities flexibility to future-proof their sludge management strategy. For those using thermal methods like incineration or drying, it reduces sludge volumes and energy consumption, lowering costs. For facilities that land-apply biosolids, THP produces Class A, pathogen-free, nutrient-rich biosolids suitable for safe agricultural use.
With references in over 90 wastewater treatment plants across 25+ countries, Cambi’s innovative THP technology drives sustainability by minimizing waste, generating renewable energy, and supporting net-zero goals. Learn more at www.cambi.com.
