Regional Sales Manager (France and North-Africa)

We are currently recruiting a Regional Sales Manager that will be responsible for France and other French speaking countries in North-Africa) to strengthen our EMENA team. This is an exciting position where you will be able to make an impact on Cambi’s success and on improving the sustainability level of the French wastewater treatment sector.
Cambi’s commercial activities are divided into 4 regions, EMENA, Asia Pacific, North America and Emerging Markets. In the EMENA (Europe, Middle East & North-Africa) region, Cambi is represented in the market through a network of Regional Sales Managers, and Agents.
The Regional Sales Manager will be directly responsible for sales and marketing activities in France, targeting mainly larger municipalities as well as the consultants and the key contractors in the market. Key responsibilities will be the complete sales cycle from presenting Cambi’s technology and benefits, understanding customer needs, building awareness and getting customers to choose Cambi’s offerings in the public tenders. The Sales Manager will also be the key contact person for the contractors during the bidding stage and will develop a bid strategy in close cooperation with Cambi’s management. The Regional Sales Manager will build and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders in the market and will develop the necessary marketing campaigns (such as mailings, events, workshops, social media).
As part of the responsibilities, the Sales Manager will conduct site visits to client sites in France and take French customers to visit reference plants in Europe. Occasional travelling outside of France will therefore be required.
The Sales Manager will also support the EMENA team with sales activities in other French speaking countries in North Africa.
This position reports to the Sales Director EMENA and will closely collaborate with the business development department (evaluating technical solutions) and the bid department (develop proposals).
For this position, it is required that you have:
- Strong Background in (waste)water technology, with understanding of unit processes of wastewater treatment, anaerobic digestion, energy balances and so forth
- 10+ years of experience in the water sector and in B2B sales
- Experience in the public sector, public tendering and contract negotiation is a plus
- Eager to learn and understand customers challenges and provide solutions
- Fluent in French, good level in English, other languages are a plus
